For The love of Waffles and Fried Chicken
It all started about 8 years ago when I was watching an episode of “Karliwood” (a throwback) where the host, Karli Henriquez, was interviewing Pit Bull and they were having waffles and fried chicken. My first impression was of full disgust but after asking a few friends who convinced me that it was worth a try. So last week or so a friend of mines posted her lunch which had red velvet waffles and fried chicken I couldn’t deny the opportunity. I took all my chubby buddies, named as such due to their eagerness to eat, to Brooklyn at SoCo’s which we got lost on the way there and on the way back. I managed to take a few shots. Let me know what you guys think. Any places I should also try?

When you posted this on Instagram, I got so hungry! I’d never heard of chicken and waffles before I moved to the South, and even then, I thought it sounded disgusting. And then I tried it. Ah-mazing. I love that it comes in so many different varieties too – some sweet, some savory. But red velvet waffles? Haven’t seen that anywhere. Unfortunately.
But not to go on and on about food…I always love your photo backdrops. You find such cool, urban backgrounds that really go with or create an interesting juxtaposition with your outfits. It makes me want to get out and explore the city more to find cool spots for photo ops!
