Being a personal style blogger you get to filter the pictures and information you output towards your readers. This picture is probably not my best, but my makeup and specially my skin looks amazing so I have to share it. For those of you who may not know I am going to start a YouTube channel where I’ll be able to post makeup tutorials, skin care tips, hair styling as well as care. So I wanted to take this chance to help you guys get used to hearing about makeup products from me.

I tend to use a lot of pharmacy products such as Maybelline, Covergirl and of course my ultimate favorite Revlon. However this product here is a bit more pricer then what I tend to spend on makeup. I am wearing Laura Mercier’s Radiance Foundation Primer. I received the sample tube a little while ago and have not stopped wearing it ever since. It makes such a noticeable difference on my skin and makeup look that it has become essential. I wear it after moisturizing my face and before my foundation. Can you see the glow and dewy-ness it gives my skin?! I love it. What do you guys think?

I can’t wait to share makeup tutorials so you can see the difference. See you soon!

Be Your Own Valentine

Found this image on Instagram, forgot who owns it. Enjoy!

Many of us, and I am guessing especially those of us who are fashion lovers have a sentiment that is attached to our clothes, makeup products and everything else that we obsess with daily. This makes us who we are but we all know that all of this is just skin deep.  And on a day like this where we express our love by giving out gifts to those we love I want to remind you guys something super important. I just wanted to remind you that the first person and the most important person you should love, should be you!  We are all beautiful no matter what skin color, size, age, ethnic background, height, and even length of hair. Yes all of these absurd reasons I have heard people tell me are reason why they aren’t “beautiful.”

On this special day I am going to ask myself to be my valentine! Though many might think that this is a last and very pathetic resort to not sound as lame in Valentines Day here it goes:

A person I know does not believe she is beautiful. I mean she knows she is pretty but she thinks it only comes when she’s all dolled up. (Sadly she is right! Just kidding. It wouldn’t be me if I didn’t throw a couple knee-slappers in here. ) I try so hard to explain to her that her beauty is found not only defined by her pretty face but also by whom she is. She is such a compassionate and loving person full of beauty IN-and-OUT that overwhelms men all the time. In honor of her internal beauty and so she once for all realizes that her physical beauty is more than skin deep this post it to her, and to all those beautiful girls out there reading this post. Now you know what to do if you want to be beautiful…

Oh and Happy Valentines Day

All Hail the Double O!

Im always asked what I do to take care of my skin and hair and when I tell them they seem to want to hear a quick and easy fix. But, like everything in life there are small easy ways of achieving what you want. Enough bullshit heres one of my secrets to healthy skin and hair.

Skin: A lot of people think that I have great skin and the truth is, I don’t. I just know how to deal with it. My skin is normal-to-dry. Many of you might be asking what this means.? It just means that in certain areas of my face is ‘normal’ meaning not to dry or to oily and the other is just plain desert dry. Ever since I was little I had to deal with redness in my skin, especially on the sides of my cheeks. It gets better when I moisturize it and so thats what I do. I wear make-up almost every day and so I recompense by taking extra care of it. I moisturize all the time. Moisturizing helps with the elasticity of your skin preventing wrinkles. This is how I use olive oil on my skin…

  1. Just in case it wasn’t clear enough, I use it as moisturizer on occasions
  2. I clean of my makeup off with olive oil! Its great for when you run out of makeup cleanser or have to improvise due to a naked sleepover.

Hair: I have long natural pitch black hair. I have dyed it on occasions to cover my whites. Fun trivia about me: I have more grays than your grandma! Any who lets stay on topic. My hair is at the longest it has been since I was five, I think. It is naturally super straight so I like to “curl it” and on occasions use the flat iron it to give it volume,( its possible!) We all know how much damage all that heat can cause to your hair from discoloration to split-ends. One day my genius younger sister told me to put olive oil right after showering on my ends. My ends were super dry and brittle and it worked like magic! But the trick is to be stingy with the olive oil. Don’t over due it or your hair will get greasy. Start by applying on your tips and work your way up without touching your scalp. I have normal hair, again not to greasy or to dry and my sister has greasy hair so I think this can work on almost all type of hair.

Hope you guys learned something. Do you have a rare beauty tip? Let me know in the comments below I would love to know.

Love you!
